third entry, which we trabeled to the face; Et the last cross-cut th e a ir

At this point we met ge.s watchman David Jones, who accomp1:-..n i ed
u s through the re st of the mine, where we examined some o:f the c.b e.nci.onect.
laces.
We visited thestable s on the third entry , and fr om here wen t
~ uwn to tte fourth level, and in to the face , measuring the air a t the
_&amp; st cress-cut &amp;nd found 8280 cubic feet pas si ng per minu te for th a 47
en employen. From here we \·rent dov,n t o the fifth entry and went in to
th e face, end measured the air . We found 5400 cubic feet p~r minut e pas s ing for the 54 men employed .
We also visited the stables on this en try .
From here we went to the seventh level and in to the face, ~•h ere
the air ~easured 3000 cubic ,eet per minute f or the 25 men at wor k .
