Section lo

\'lYOUING

To be eligible to bene fits from the Hospital Commissi~np each member
pay into the Hospital Fund the amount agreed to be paid the
Hospit a l co1m1ission, :paya. ble on or b efore the 15t h clay of e:.i.ch month.
Any me~ber not pa id for the current month shall not be eligible for
b enefits from the Hospita l Commission . This does not a "T1.1 ly to sickness
or in juries.

Section 2o

It shall be the duty of the Hoonital Co:mnis sion to s ee that a ll members
in good standing shall have nec;ssa!jT care for si clmess and injuries
including local hosp ite.l treatment when in the opinion of the doctor
effi?loy ed. by the Hospital Commis s ion H is necessary t; o be taken to the
hospital. This do es not apply to sickness or i n juries caused directly
o:r indirectly by the use of intozicants, ::micida l a tt empts , venera l
diseases, or automobile accidents herein provided.

Section 3o

!:,:n.v member 11ho meets r:i th an a ccident in an automobile vn·eck. and it
can be proven he ,.,,as not responsible for the wre ck mid was not into~
icated, nor driving a t an excessive speed shall be entitled to hospital
treatment .

Sect ion 4.

Any membe. \7hc, is injU!'ied in an automobile accident, and was in no
way responsibh for the 2.cc ident sht;.ll be ent itled to locaJ. hospital

care .
Section 5.

In all cases the Hospit~l Commi ssion sha ll make a thorough inve s tigation
of eB.ch ce.se wh en necessary .

Section 6"

Any Ii1Gmber \vho requires the treatment of a specialist for eye, ear, nosep

or throat shall report said case to Hos~ital com.~ission, who in turn
shall maJce preparation to have him cared for by the specialists employed
by the Hospital Commission.
Sect i on 7 o

All cases of sickness or injuries other than mine injuries shall be rsported to the Hospital Commission before entering the hospital er as soon
as possible thereafte·r .

Section 80

Any member who enters the hospital who &lt;iesires to employ other doctors

than those employed by the Hospital Commission shnll be entitled to local
hospital care only not to exceed the ward rate.,
Section 9.

Vlhen members desire to employ other doctors not employed by the hospite.l
commission, the hospital commission sha ll not be responsible for any
doctor bills in~.u-red by s~id roemb ~r.

Section lOo

ADY time a doctor employed by the Hospital COlll!llission is absent from his
duties the Hospital Commission shall make arrangements for another doctor
to take his place until he rettu-ns, if possible.,

Section 11.

When disnutes arise and a r e not covered in the general ntles of the
Hospitai"' Commission, the Hospit a l connnission shall have full power
to dispose of same .

Section 1 5.

When in the opinion of th_e n·o ctor employed by the Hospital Commission

FAMILY HOSPITAL CABE
Section 1.

To be eligible to family hospital care the husband or father, or provider for the home , mu.st be employed under the Central Coal &amp; Coke
Company at Rock Springs for e.t least ninety days befo:re any benefits
can be received from the Hospital Commissiono

Section 2.

That all hosnit;;.l Commission assessments will be 'lr!-ought up before the
Local Union for approval, foT hospital car0. of members and their familieso

Section 3o

The Hospitil Commission shall pay the e:r.act l ocal :holilpital bills not to
eAceed.($40.00) f~ r the wife or member of family-o This does not apply
to sickness or in,' ,1 ries caused by the use of intoxicants, suicidal attempts,
obst0tri c o 0 v eneral diseases or automobile accidents covered in section

3 and 4 of General Ru.leso
