Mr. H. Co Livingston:
Mr. G。 B. Pryde:

Mr。 I. No Bayless)

Mr. W. F. Masterton, who spent some time at Rock
Springs some years ago, went home to Edinburgh on a furlough
from China, where he was operating some very extensive coal
properties,, He married in Scotland, is now in this country,
and expects to leave Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on the 17th '
or 18th and will stay over a day or two with us in Omaha,
after which he will go to Rock Springs for two or three days.

If possible, I would like to go out with him, and.
I would appreciate Mr。 Livingston, on receipt of advice as
to arrival (which I x\rill forward), arranging for reservations
at the White Mountain Inn for Mr. Masterton and wife. I will
also arrange for Pullman reservations from Rock Springs to
San Francisco, where he must arrive not later than July 28,
sailing for Australia.

Mr。 Masterton served as an officer in the British
Army in the East, but what is more interesting, had charge
of Chinese mines producing five or six million tons, and
I would like to have him ehown around, taking a trip into a
mine or two, and. perhaps arrange for a dinner or luncheon
for him and. Mrs. Masterton; that detail I can advise you
of when I learn of the time of his arrival at Omaha.
He is very anxious to renew his acquaintance with
Mr. Pryde, and. I will look to George to take over pretty
heavily in the matter of showing the Scotsman and his wife
around.
